How's it going family? League of legends player here.
Look, I love this new fps RIOT has to offer, just love what they're doing, but why is the penalty 1 hour if you leave a match. Granted it makes sense to penalize people that ruin the experience for other players but what happens when you disconnect or crash simply due to your pc (something beyond your control). On occasion my client would crash in the champion select screen and when I would reboot my pc and try to join the game I get the big fat 1 hour penalty. It's really killing the vibe for me. Riot never did anything like this for League of Legends, why is it so harsh for Valorant?

There's the issue of AFK/Leavers/Toxic players in League and they do not get penalized at all even after reports. I almost feel like this type of punishment should be enforced in League. This issue is really dissuading me from playing the game. What a ridiculous penalty. Anyone else experience this?

When you crash in League you can simply reboot your pc and get back to the game as soon as your client opens. Would love a feature like that for Valorant.

It's the same thing as in most online games which punish leaving. They say that you have to keep everything going on your side, if you don't know if you can, don't play a match or live with the penality.
They don't care about if you can or can't control it.

The most common reason for that are disconnects. They can either happen because your provider has problems or you could simply plug out the router. As far as I know they can't detect if you had a disconnect on purpose or not.

The game doesn't know if you crashed because of forces outside of your control rage quit.
Well, whether or not the DC was intentional the impact on your team is still the same.

If you crashed on the agent select screen, well, the other 9 people were forced to wait 90 or so seconds before being put back into the match making queue.
The game doesn't know if you legit crashed or just decided to alt+f4/end-process because you didn't like the team comp.

If you crash in game, they don't know you didn't just rage quit.

The system specs for Valorant are pretty lenient, running just fine on my GTX 960's.
The only other thing to check would be your connection. Are you playing on ethernet or WiFi?
