Listening to music while playing is probably not the smartest idea. Why? Simply because you need to hear everything, all the footsteps, abilities and shots sounds is essential for wining. You need to be aware of everyone's location and know what they're doing.
But to answer your question, yeah, I tend to play music in the background just to give me the vibe. However, I don't play music on my headset and I play it in a very low volume, to avoid getting distracted.
