I know it's beta , we should be making changes and giving feedback , so heres my 2 cents on "RAZE ISSUE"
People dislike her cause she has lethal abilites. High lvl players will dislike her but for different reason. She is useless.Summit says that she has high lethal abilities. That is true. But shroud says she has no utility , that is true also.
Her lethal abilities are easy to use and easy to counter , dodge , have no utility in taking site or block vision.
So we need to think about what KIT and ROLE should she have.
I think that RAZE should PAINT opponents , it would be a debuff. Painted enemies take 2x dmg (can be changed to other values) and also enemies leave footsteeps in different colors.
Footsteps are only useful for Dueling , something which RAZE should be used for. They don't give any additional info wihout getting into a fight.
Now that makes raze more usefull for everybody else but we need something else to take from her. What can we take away? Damage , reduce damage of her Paint grenade bomb bot and ultimate
So how would i change her KIT?
Q stays same , maybe recharges. Her BOT has less damage and when it explodes or gets shot it paints enemies. PAINTED enemies have debuff previously explained.
Now if you want to do damage you need to peek , no indirect fire. This was biggest problem , dealing dmg without aiming and no utility. Now you can paint enemies , deal little dmg , force them to go back but not KILL them. Enemies can STILL KILL YOU. They will not recieve tons of dmg unless YOU hit THEM while they have PAINT.
See , now it requires aim to fully use RAZE afterall she is duelist , should make duels for herself easier by painting enemies. It's now skill matchup , your aim vs their aim , it's about a DUEL not pure area denial / indirect killing.
Same thing can be applied to PAINT NADES , less damage , maybe 2 of them , then 66% less damage but mostly important she applies debuff.
Her ult shouldn't instantly kill , maybe deal 100dmg max and larger AOE STUN or some other debuf. Still her ult requires line of sight to fire and can be seen and dogded , makes her vurnable and less useful in higher elo since they will shoot you first while rocket flies.
Now ult is not insta wipe , enemies still can react if they get shot , but raze can't kill them all alone instantly , she first stuns them and has to get her gun to finish them. This reinforces good aim and target switcing again. Making RAZE more skill based and it's harder to dominate as a bad player with instant damage.
So let's say we don't take this route and RAZE continoues to be in this state (Curent live Raze). Players will cry still about ULT , her NADE is unreaiblle but when you die to nade it will feel unfair , she will 100% not be played at highest lvl due to pure uselessness in teamplay , literally no utility right now. She will die if not changed.
She would stay low skill pick and be strong there due to guranted easy dmg which requires no aim. I highly disagree with this route. Bad desing in my opinion. Dosen't reward skill.
My changes would reinforce AIMING , UTILITY and reduce just pure DAMAGE.
Good RAZE players would need good aim to make her good , bad players can lay on free damage still making her not bad in low elo but not as strong and easy as now / before.
Make her BOT have manual detonation , if it expodes like that IT makes a PAINT smoke. Paint smoke is just every other smoke but it paint's enemies when they try to enter.
Make Q have 100% accuracy on first shot without snipers. Next shot could have 66% , 3rd shot 33% and 4th 0% (default air accuracy) (numbers can be changed ofc)
Maybe add recharge after 40 sec or something , also optional.
This again makes her skilled , requires aim to pull off , surpising enemies but putting yourself in risky situations without falling back.
Overall her charachter or personallity is cool , has that crazy chick feel which would back up aggressive reckless gameplay but right now it's just badly desingned in my opinion. Only damage tweaks and few additional models for footsteps need to be implemented.
