most likely they were xp farmers, its is a way of finding a way around haveing to use xp to unlock charecters and skins. they do this buy dying on purpose to get the xp faster. This is bad for a number of reasons, first riot doesnt make as much money,which makes it harder for them to operate and create new maps,etc,second people can do this on multiple accounts which gives smurfs an easy opportunity to unlock all the charecters for free,and then smurf in the low ranks unfairly.third it messes up the ranks,and ruins the experiance for the other team,sure you get free xp,but you learn nothing and you can get mmr,that could put you up against players that are to difficult for you in the next game. the effect is probably negligible,but that doesn't make it right,you should report these player if you see them again.
