The Valorant community is extremely toxic.

I am new to Valorant and only played the game about a week. I come from games such as Battlefield or COD and therefore I am not that experienced with these teambased games. While my aim is decent my game sense is pretty shit and therefore I end up sometimes winning rounds for the team and other times throwing the round away. However the toxic reactions towards people that dont have 1000 hours in games like Counter Strike are pretty bad. My aim and gamesense has already improved but people will complain about you even if you do well but dont understand what to do with bomb/defuse. I like this game in many ways but the toxicity towards people who dont have 1000 hours in CS and are not that experienced in bomb/defuse shooters is pretty annoying. And honestly it only encourgages me to deliberately lose rounds for my team or grief team mates as that then becomes more fun than actually playing the game.

You probably never played OW then. That is what I would call the worst toxic dump community in video games of all times. It is mostly due to the gameplay tho because even 1 person is not doing his best 90% guaranteed loss. In valorant I saw 1-2 people solocarry absolutely terrible teams or games getting turned around regularly it's a lot of fun. I love this game. Also losing in OW felt extremely bad because in most of the games you lost due to bad teammates, here you also have the potential to solocarry. I'm just happy I come over to Valorant long ago.

RIOT games in general has a collection of the most toxic PC players in the world. League of Legends is just as bad as this. (in fact league is probably worse) It is so bad in league that they had to create multiple systems in an attempt to influence their players to not troll and feed the enemy team. I feel your pain man, the community is just filled with children. Really you have to ignore them and mute the second they say something toxic. It is the only thing I have found that works. That is the issue with free games in my opinion. Brings out the worst in people for some reason. Just find some cool people to que with and mute the rest of the ones that arent worth your time.

Agreed. Was toxic when it launched back then and it's still toxic as of now. A very fun game, yes, but toxic as hell.
