So any plans for a fix to a player leaving every match? I've played 8 games today and here's the player disconnects:
1: 0
2: 1 - Ally
3: 1 - Enemy
4: 2 - Ally
5: 0
6: 1 - Ally
7: 0
8: 2 - Ally

Because of this I won't be playing any more of this game until a system is in place to fix this issue... and I'm not talking unintentional disconnects. At least half of those were intentional with one player actually saying they were going to DC before doing so.

Mixer-com-BudsterLKS Sure that will get a few players banned... but if we're being honest, Riot is just going to use their "give them a warning" system meaning they'll still be in the game; and even if Riot does ban a few players that's like 1% of the potential players that could intentionally leave... so not even worth doing really.

Riot needs to make a strong penalty for leaving the game intentionally (which is something they can detect).
My vote is to do all of the following:

    • Warning
    • Loss of experience on their Agent contract
    • 15 minutes -> 30 minutes -> 1 hour -> 1 hour 30 minutes -> ... That they can't play the game (incrementing for each intentional disconnect. Resets after 1 week of no disconnects.

Like I understand they're doing their "all are welcome" policy but toxic players need to be removed. This is a problem with League and Valorant, only reason it doesn't affect TFT is 1. No reason to chat in that game 2. No way to screw over other players 3. It's basically you vs 7 other players you'll never interact with.

GravenFear its always worth doing mate... its become people think "its not worth doing" that the problem grows to such a large problem and then we try to apply whats called the bandaid solution... which means you cant use a bandaid on a broken and open wound it wont solve the issue, the issue will still get infected and such....

got to do whats needed in the first place period...

"15 minutes -> 30 minutes -> 1 hour -> 1 hour 30 minutes -" this is a prime example of bandaid solution... you know what will happen if you do this??? people will go pfft 1 hour is nothing... then with the cooldown it will reset before they leave another game and the problem is still there, with another problem arising which is players will be sick and tired of those mor0ns and toxicity now grows... (p.s. its already here.... hint hint)

and you are wrong about TFT by the way... the reason TFT isnt toxic is not coz of your reason its cause players don't need to rely on mor0ns to grow a brain to win... winning is a direct result by what you do and what you do alone.....

but with how bad TFT currently is with hero stealing item stealing and morons who are 100% guaranteed to lose who dont want to i forget the word for it but change their build to a winning one before they lose... and thus players are getting frustrated or in riots logic "toxic" and its always because of morons....

and reading what you said about TFT makes me realize you have no understanding of how TFT currently works.... there are many ways to screw other players over in TFT... what game have you been playing facepalm

Some people have game crashes like me, sometimes 2 to 3 times a game. I'm only gone for the time it takes to reboot the game but not alot I can do about a bug and does that warrant a ban, I dont think so.

People shouldn't be punished for leaving "unranked" matches, only ranked..... especially if you quit because there is a cheater on your own team or aren't the first to leave the match.

      a year later

Valorant is f*cked up, I wasted a total of $15, valorant keeps disconnecting me saying that I need to quit the game and reconnect back and then after a game, I get banned for 3days instantly, I don't even understand I only play Unranked and I get 3days ban for your own reasons? You have to fix this Riot Games plus my money can't be refunded, Riot Games is a scumbag

      14 days later

Valorant is a fu*king game ... developers just do whatever they want
