My teammates and I have had this discussion on several occasions in spike rush where you auto switch to golden gun in middle of a gun fight with multiple enemies. You'd like to aim at 2nd enemy after killing the 1st one with golden gun. But because you auto switch, it throws off your momentum and you end up dying.
Request to Riot Games is to consider adding an option to toggle auto-switch on or off.
