May have to copy and paste that link into your browser. Just a FYI I normally get between 250-400fps on CS.

I guess it isn't locked as I saw it go up to 150 odd. Given what I get in CSGO is it meant to be this low? Turning down the quality doesn't seem to do anything.

SJ789 You should definitely be getting 200+ fps with your setup. Do you have v-sync disabled? The only other options I can think of is maybe try updating your graphics card drivers as well as Windows.

I do have V-Sync disabled, I actually got the 2070 today so everything is up to date regarding that, I do have a windows update though will do it now and see if it changes anything.

@Mike Updated everything, didn't really do anything.

I noticed this earlier but didn't take much noticed of it until, When I launch the game and I'm clicking else where while the game loads, I can see the game load on another monitor, When in Menu's I see my FPS Counter between 350-400fps. When I click into the window/game it knocks my FPS down to 144.

Also to add I just switched which monitors the game was displayed to I have 2 other 60hz monitors and they both displayed 200-300fps. When I switch it back to the 144hz monitor it goes back to 144fps.

SJ789 Try Googling your monitor model and see if anyone else has the same frame rate issue on other games.

So given that I got a new Video card today I thought that might be the problem. So I put in my 1060 and it done the same thing Capping around 144. I did put fullscreen windowed on and started getting 180-200 but in some areas the FPS would drop to around 100. I'll see what my 2070 does tomorrow.

        a month later

SJ789 I know this is old but I found the solution for playing in fullscreen, you have to right click on the .exe for Valorant, go to the compatibility tab, and check "disable fullscreen optimizations." You'll be able to run unlocked in fullscreen. Just fixed it for me.
