Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this problem. I have recently come across the issue of screen tearing whilst trying to play games. I have mostly experienced this when trying to play Valorant although I believe its across other games too. The thing is my game runs fine stable 144fps and just about never drops from it. I have tried the use of v sync (on,off,fast,adaptive) and g sync but nothing has worked to fix my computer not displaying smooth frames and tears. I have been struggling with this for 2 weeks now and can't seem to find out how to make my game smooth again. I have tried the following
-fac resetting pc
-tested an old GPU which still caused screen tearing - re-downloading drivers
- downloading older driver versions
- cleaning pc of any dust so its not over heating
- capping fps to 143,145, 288
- disabling full screen optimsiations - changing to different resolutions
- trying windowed full screen
If your wondering my computer has:
- RTX 2060
- Ryzen 7 3700x
- 32gb of Ram
The monitors Im using is
-Acer KG271a 27" Full HD 144Hz FreeSync 1ms gaming LED Monitor
-some 60hz Dell one as a second monitor for discord, videos, music etc
