Hello guys and girls,
I returned to Valorant today after a very long break.
The last time i played was in Episode 1 Act 1 where i miraculously hit Gold while i am a Bronze/Silver Player myself at best.
Today i came back to the game because a friend of mine who had a equally long break wanted to play some V and we played Unranked until he talked me into playing our Placement Matches.
Spoiler Alert: it was a disaster.
In the first game we didn't even know that we where put in High DIAMOND/ASCENDENT Matches we literally thought that the Top Fragger of the Enemy Team would "just smurf" until we saw the Result Screen of the Match:
After that game we thought "Okay this was the first placement Match and we lost so our MMR must tanked heavily so we get put into Matches that are more on our Skill Level."
Saaadly that was not the Case, we got thrown directly into the next High Dia game and this Time people checked our ranks beforehand and the people saw that i was a former Gold Player.
They asked me what i was doing here and i asked what ranks they are and got told high dia.
After i explained that i just reinstalled the game and playing my Placement Matches i got toled to "Shut the Fuck up." which i mainly did for the rest of the game.
This is kind of a Venting Thread but i am also clueless what to do now.
Should i just Tank Matches Full Mute my Team and play to the best of my capabilities until i am at my "Real Rank"?
Or should i take the vocal abuse and play tilted because people don't threat me like a normal human being who is not responsible for the Matchmaking?
