Generally I don't care much for ranked matches in any games I play, but I thought I would give Valorant a try and see if I could climb. I just completed my first 5 matches and won ALL 5 of these matches. That said, when they showed my rank I am still Iron 1. My question is, what is the point of Rank Determining Matches when even if I win all 5, I am still going to be placed in the lowest rank? At that point, just start the player at Iron 1 after their first match and let them climb. I also thought about the possibility that your in-game performance is partial to how the game determines your rank. That said, I have 2 great scores, 2 moderate scores, and 1 bad score. (21/7/2 | 26/13/11 | 15/17/8 | 17/18/3 | 03/15/7). If the game is determining rank by skill, I think that the scores I had are at least deserving of an Iron 2-3 player. Lastly, it said that the game score had an affect on how rank is determined. I will admit that 3 of the games were very close, but 2 of the games were not close at all with the scores being (13/12 | 13/12 | 13/11 | 13/7 | 13/5). Even after factoring all this in, the games were all won, my scores were pretty good on average, and there were 2 games that we won by a landslide, why is my rank Iron 1?
