Will riot staff do something about cheaters?

I am not being funny but we are spending money on this game and believe me £20 for a single skin is not cheap at all.
and I voice my opinion for anyone who spent cash on this game or just wants to play for fun.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE CHEATERS, or you'll loose players, paying players.
Oh and your Vanguard is a joke if it allows cheaters on.

They are actively working to fix the small cheating problem, however a lot of the "cheaters" you run in to are most likely just playing well or hitting lucky shots. The cheating problem isn't very large, and is mostly used for clickbait by reaction channels.

I agree with Statikal75 It's not like vanguard allows such activity. It has code that runs so close to the hardware that windows can sometimes even considers it as a virus due to the level of detail it sends to riot servers. Vanguard is arguably THE BEST anti-cheat system in any fps game available today

I would have to disagree with this sadly,
I can understand lucky shots but not a 5 headshots from half of the map 6 rounds straight.

C'mon lets be realistic. not to mention weapon balance which is also quite frankly poor.
Counter-Strike has much better balance if it goes for weapons.

So easy just boost an acc do another one fkin garbage system , u even queue solo to get matched vs 3 premade group full of boosting fks

I am afraid what will happen in your MMO, as you probably know (or not) you can cheat there as well.
Anyway me, and a lot of player are disappointed in how you have mismanaged this game, og and btw, Vanguard is a biggest joke since VAC ( Valve Anti Cheat)

Bael These "cheaters" are much more likely smurfs. Smurfing is a hugeeee problem in this game. cheating generally isnt. to lower ELO players, something a plat+ players does could easily feel like cheating. I would also like to mention this is not an official Valorant forum, they dont have one. (I know, its insane)

Krinos Riot has an amazing, tho intrusive, anti cheat system. Thats about all the good they do beyond game mechanics however. Smurfing in iron-silver is so prevalent it makes ranking up nearly impossible unless youre smurfing yourself or somehow got put way lower than you were supposed to be. it used to not be as big of an issue because generally 1 man cant change the results of a mtch on their own. However, its become increasingly common for smurfs to que together, 3 man stacking and throwing games and ruining an entire match for 2 other people. during the day, its not an issue, but at night nearly every match has them on at least one team. For people like me, that sucks because thats the only time i can play. And they do nothing about it. I report every smurf/thrower i run into (yes, most of them i KNOW are doing it. they usually admit to it because there are no consequences) and ive only ever gotten a confirmation of a ban ONCE. Its absolutely atrocious. Theyre being extremely lazy

I've seen ONE only ONE cheater in Valorant. And that was in the Beta Phase. Maybe you're just mad and pretty bad in Game.

As a player who has alot of FPS Shooter experience (_4k hours CS, _8k hours cod2, cod4promod and Battalion1944) and who has peaked Radiant in Episode 1 (every Act since then I have been ranked in Immortal 3) I can say that you are wrong "Krinos" and "Statikal75". There are infact way more cheaters nowadays, I would even go far and say it's about 15% ... Don't get me wrong, of course there are still less Cheaters in Valorant than for example in CS:GO 2018 Matchmaking (which was infected by ₂₀% Cheaters). Also there are less or almost zero Ragecheaters (like using Spinbot) at least not in higher Ranks.
But the amount of "legit" Cheaters (or at least trying to be legit) is very high now. Some of them are cheating for months on the same account (undetected). In Immortal Rank there are many players who have been stuck in Gold-low Ascendant for Years and now suddenly rolling on anyone in higher Skilllevels out of the nowhere (from one Act to another).
It's just very obvious to better players that the cheater rate has increased by at least 5 if not 10% since January 2023 which is probably related to RiotGames being hacked earlier this year.
But I agree, before 2023 Vanguard was one of the best Anti-Cheats holding the Cheaterrate under 10% for most of the time.

We can only hope that they manage to limit the current cheater pandemic.

I have to agree with "rmqz".

Closet cheating took over the higher ranks month ago. Most parts of the community are completely oblivious to it. The cheating isnt too obvious and the communitys brainwashed into thinking that there are no ways to bypass vanguard.

There are many ways: DMA- or EFI-cheats, a few weeks ago you could even create simple cheats with the official software for e.g. your mouse. Friends of mine, who are experienced in cheating, had a little contest during the Valorant beta who could create the best cheat without being caught, none of them is caught yet...

Its really simple to spot a cheater if you know how most cheats work. For example someone whos been using a triggerbot for a while wont aim at the enemy, theyll whiff their crosshair over the opponent without correcting its position. You can spot many wallhackers by checking what position they play. Many will be on the correct site initially every single defender round. Little things like that reveal cheating.

Right now i personally have the impression that theres a cheaterQ with inofficially flagged accounts. On my main account ive been matched with or against cheater the last 40 games - every single one. On other accounts with about as many games, same elo etc. theres no problem. Might just be bad luck though.

in a game that also relies on us improving from past games we should have this feature.

But yeah the last 2 months there has been a increase to cheaters but i don't think its out of control, You may bump into one or two and it is what it is, If you cheat in video games you clearly don't have much of social standing and really need to go outside and do something with your life.
