Hey everyone, it’s my first post here. Does anyone experience their Valorant loading taking too long when at the loading screen before the in-game. And do you also experience the same issue when returning back to the lobby after match? Another thing is, on the agent select screen, when I select an agent, it’s supposed to appear on the screen but mine doesn’t. Is there anyone who can help me on this matter? Thank you so much

the problem is probably on valorant cus cs2 takes like under 10 or 10 seconds to load in my pc and valorant takes forever (not to mention cs2 is grapichally more intensive)

fryman same here. It takes more than 3 to 4 minutes to load a game while in cs2 it takes barely some seconds. Dunno the fix to that. Some say try installing valo on your ssd

This is happening to me for over half a year now, every single time it takes 3+ minutes to load into a match and then you get a penalty for being afk....Aawesome. Tried reinstalling valorant on different disks and nothing changed.At the same time i can load into a cs2 game under 10 seconds so i really dont know what tf is going on but its really annoying.

I've had the same problem. I contacted riot about this and they told me to try and download the game on my main drive. This helped for me

Hey guys sorry to reopen this thread but yes after 1 yr of playing valorant on same laptop i have facing same problem with 3+ minutes to open the game, agent not getting load after selecting it , 2-3 min to get in compi custom or unrated or any mode , if someone dodges it takes 2-3 min to get back and i get dodge warning

Same thing is happening with me. I only have 100 GB of SSD. Out of which, 14 GB is free. Any other alternative to this? I won't be able to install a 40 GB game in SSD. Earlier this used to work fine. Idk what happened now?

when the game loading to open or to join a game the task manager says that valorant does not respond after a while valorant respond again(i lose for sure 1-3 rounds wtf)

fryman it’s the same for me. Cs loads quick and valorant takes forever. It’s worse with each update as well.

I had the same issue, i found that if u reinstall Valorant into ur SSD instead of ur HDD it loads infinitely faster. It seems val just rlly doesn't like hard drives lol.

Friend of mine had their main drive too full to install an update, so we moved the install to their secondary disk (hard drive) and this started happening. Replacing the secondary disk with a sata SSD appears to have resolved it. Seems that Valorant doesn't just load into ram at the start, since using an SSD significanly improved pre-game character loading, and game laod-in time (back to about what it was while on the primary SSD to begin with).

I believe it’s the cosmetics that have to pre-load… becoming a big issue as they add more cosmetics and maps to the game. I have had this problem on the load for almost 2 years.. online suggestions and such really give u bad feedback as it’s the usual “restart/reinstall/checkscan/etc…”. Bro need to understand it’s nothing to do with all that.

For my situation I’ve discovered today… and I’ll make a tutorial for those using nordvpn.. was my issue. Yes you can uninstall nordvpn and it won’t take as long to load (I mean it loads forever.. even sometimes forces me to end task and relaunch the game in which it still doesn’t respond). But I have attempted to force close vpn or turn it off.. but already vpn has changed my ip.. again I will post a video on YouTube sometime this week.. hopefully can help players running vpn to avoid this problem.

I love how Riot games is too concerned with making gay ass agents, champs and bundles instead of fixing their games… like as if smurfs werent an issue, now u gotta get ssd to play the game? Iv been playing val for years on a worse pc, now that i get a better pc, i need ssd to play? Like everytime i get into comp, my game takes years to load in and when it finally does, my team remakes, or if someone else dodges in agent select, my game doesnt load out fast enough and i end up dodging the second map, which gives me a penalty… Nice job riot, uv went from bad to worse.

hey sorry for a super late reply but ive been having this problem for a while and if u dont want to go through the pain of getting a new pc or the SSD stuff i have some solutions that fs helped me a lot. Now, i can load into the first-second round of games so if im lucky my team wont remake if you just tell them "my computer sucks i might not load into the first round" so first when u open valorant go into task manager, details, scroll down to the valorant.exe and valorant-win64.exe ur gna want to right click and change priority to below normal. Then, go to services and find vgc. make sure this is running. if its stopped right click and click start. then when valorant is on the home screen heres the slightly annoying part. you gotta load up like 3-4 custom games. you can exit out of them as soon as u load but u still gotta see them all through. you have to hover an agent until the agent animation pops up. the more customs u load the faster thw animation will appear. It takes me 2-3 until its comfortably loading tbe animation as soon as i hover an agent. then, you can load up a unrated or competitive and have fun. (make sure to tell ur team that u might not load in so u have a higher chance of them not remaking) if you're lucky you might even load into buy phase. also if u have a problem when other ppl dodge and u get stuck on the agent select, dodging the second game that u automatically queue into sometimes it might load u into it if you do this enough or have valorant running for that long. it also helps to be in a duo or party so if someone dodges they can dequeue you guys. hope this helped!

ssnipxrpug also u might get afk penalties every once in a while but at the max theyre 3-10 minutes -- you can always load custom games while you wait. this might not work 100% of the time since people will remake and some might dodge but its a better solution than getting a new computer if u cant atm

ssnipxrpug forgot the most important part you have to set all your fps limit settings to off and change the max fps always to 20 before u load into a game. you can change this back to whatever after u load in

@st3llitsa#p10876 Hi, I also used a 120GB SSD in the past. You can allocate space for Valorant if you're not using too many tools or programs on your C drive. It's doable!

Now, a bit about me: I'm a small content creator. On my 128GB SSD, I managed to use Valorant, Adobe, and Camtasia. Sometimes I also used CapCut. All these tools create a lot of cache, so you need to clear that from time to time. Overall, you can manage it easily.
