Lately unranked is almost unplayable. People leave every game, people accidently queuing for unranked when they wanted to play ranked and throwing, people telling the other team in all chat where the last person is and where they are going. Then you have the issues of people screaming over their mics, racism, toxic behavior, people are already aware of these issues obviously. My suggestions to helping curve this behavior are fairly straightforward and simple: Boot people will tons of valid reports for awful behavior out of the closed beta. Implement a commendation system so good teammates and positive players end up queued with others that are also highly commended. Apply this system across the board so that peoples conduct in unranked games also carries with them into ranked games. If someone is throwing unranked, screaming into their mic, spamming racial slurs etc let other players be able to report them and have them filter into the bottom feeders even in their ranked games so this behavior punishes them accordingly. Overall this game has serious promise but if you do not curve the throwing and toxic behavior it's going to have long term negative effects that could ruin it. A commendation system that puts positively reviewed players together and stacks negatively reviewed players together at least ensures those of us not acting toxic don't end up with people that are. Also keep in mind this is my overall opinion on playing so far queuing solo for 95% of my games. I rarely play with other people, most of my friends have not gotten into beta, and I do not want to be forced to play with 4 others to find an enjoyable game.

It's a Riot game, similar to CS:GO. Perfect combination to bring together the most toxic players in the videogames community. In most of my games, people tell me that I'm a f****** noob and those shits of always, and people in general insulting me and the team in general if we are losing, but it doesn't surprise me at all, being a Riot game, a company that has the LoL, a game with a super toxic community and it's obvious that many LoL players came to Valorant. The endorsement system may be fine, so that the toxics are matched with other toxics.

The community is complete ass. In general if youre not five stacking dont bother. ranked or unranked. Sensitive snowflakes lose it and start "trolling and not trying" after you ask them to change up their play style when theyre 0-8. Play with friends or suffer some unranked games and just add the competent/non-toxic players who are trying to play a COMPETITIVE tactical shooter. Like it or not imposing harsher penalties isnt going to solve any problems.

Valko11793 Well, I mute everyone. This is a game to have fun at all, and because of the competitive environment that Riot generates, people forget this... but this is still a game. So I'm not going to tolerate people ruining my gaming experience by insulting me.

Yes there are toxic players, even with a better report system, but in my opinion, I've played unranked and ranked, I totally agree that some players in unranked aren't serious at all, throw games, trolls, afk, has toxic behaviour, but it's the same in every game. Even ranked has toxic players, that's why I always find teammates in the Official Valorant Discord Server before queuing up so you know the players you play with are here to win and grind ranks (most of the time, I'd say 95%), and the higher rank you'll be, the less trolls you're gonna find when making your team via Valorant discord.

Dwild I pretty much agree with you that toxicity should be punished, but I also bealive that Riot Games wont give any step further anyone who is promoting racism and toxic behavior, just there is probbly a lot of things going on in Riot Inc. and this game is still in beta, so we should just chill and enjoy in playing this game! I also bealive that everything will be fixed even before we blink!

If you're not being nice and give someone a reason to be a snowflake in the first place then that makes you also a toxic player....anyone that is not nice in their approach towards anyone is toxic and should be guided towards a better approach.
I'm 46 and noway a snowflake and see it from all aspects. There is no need to make someone feel like they are a snowflake unless you are trying to get one over on them. Thats toxic behaviour.
No one is a noob we have to get out of that trend, because I dont see Valorant ranked players ever down grading anyone and to everyone to them, they are a noob even though they dont need to ever express it.
Everyone starts the game somewhere and has to learn from mistakes, they dont need someone telling them they are a noob. It helps nothing.
Or someone might have an illness hindering them or they might be an old dog and once was a high level gamer like me or likes to play with his son. Sometimes there are reasons why people make mistakes or have bad aim and control, also it could be people in their mmr level and are just trying to improve their ranks, why should they not beable to play because they make more mistake in the 5 than others.
Always be positive in your approach towards others it will benefit everything in the long run.
Also this ranking system isnt like no other as you cannot really boost in solo q, so its not so much on how your team mates perform and win it's more how much you perform and protect your own mmr.
So being toxic at all doesnt make sense anymore, not that it did before just more understandable in cs.go

It is not the players, it is the game that does not work as it should. Sometimes you have super aim and hit everything and sometimes you just have bad luck and hit but the server does not score your hits. The game itself makes the players toxic, it has nothing to do with their ability.

Sergio The exact same issue with me but not unranked, it’s RANKED. All the teammates above bronze, are all toxic and most of them tell I’m trash, noob, dumbass, a really bad person, bad person in IRL, etc... the list goes on. This happens especially when I’m alone and people have a really good rank. Instead of telling the whole team (because the whole team is responsible for looses), they just all blame it on the person who has the lowest rank or dies the most.
