I have been playing Valorant since the game launch. So many people see matchmaking issues with their ranks and levels in the game.
Even after every episode ranks are reset but the issue still remains with matchmaking. Since this is a tactical shooter game each player should have knowledge on the same level when playing as a team.
For ex, if I am playing with level 400, my teammates should also have a level of around 350 to 450 level in order to better collaborate within the game. This way every player has the same knowledge and better understanding of the game, and that way current ranking won't matter because all player has the same experience of the game.
Now the question is what if a full team is matchmaking with all different levels of experience?
For ex. 5 player with 30, 50, 200, 300, 500 level. at this point, it will break, right? No, it will look for players with the same level as they are searching for. like. 0-50 , 0-100, 150-250, 250-350, 450-550. each has a range of 0-100 levels to match with.
This way even if players are boosting other players or playing with new accounts ( which most people do ), does not affect another player who is already on a higher level or lower level.
After all, it is all about the experience of the game, If someone is new they will learn with their fellow teammates.
and people who are already playing for a long time get the same level of teammates.
This will also resolve the issue of players stuck at the same rank. The main reason that players are stuck on the same rank, even though they have experience and knowledge of the game they will still not progress because of the teammates getting in matchmaking. having an equal player level will resolve this issue.
Also, RR for ranks is good but searching players based on current rank and RR is not good. I still remember the old days when there was no competitive matchmaking and it was good at that point. After introducing the competitive lots of issues of matchmaking were exposed.
I have given my thoughts let me know what is your thoughts and what you think of this change.
Note: I also requested that mobile phone verification be mandatory for every account so each player has only 1 account and it will prevent hackers and cheaters in the game. Valorant did include phone number verification but has not made it mandatory.
