I love this game. I have loved it from its inception, but I can no longer take the rampant abuse that exists from this player community and the lack of investment or care from the Riot staff that operate Valorant.
There isn't a day when I play a match where a teammate isn't smurfing, throwing or someone is cheating with third party apps/game abuse and ruins the game outright. How do I know this?
Players admit to throwing and or smurfing over comms and say they have no fear of any punishment since they make new accounts all the time or Valorant actually takes no action on them.
Valorant confirms to me they have banned such cheater. In these cases however I still have lost my RR for the match and I have lost time from a game I cannot leave without punishment.
Some of the biggest pains here stem from the fact that not only do I lose material RR, but significant time where I cannot leave and start a new game. I have to endure the pain of continuing with the match. This is something the throwers naturally are enjoying and part of the continued drive their abuse. In trying to create controls where people cannot abuse match mechanics, I believe Riot has instead created an environment tailored for abuse. And while there are reporting mechanisms to address this, it is clear the mechanisms Riot has chosen are not effective in any way at keeping these types of abuses in check.
I have opened support tickets with Valorant in response to this and their stance never changes. They cannot promise timelines for when game changes for the above can be addressed. They cannot restore back RR to me. They do not even apologize for the pain I have suffered. This is unacceptable. All other platforms I have ever played have been able to keep this in control. I have come to realize that.. Riot DOES NOT CARE.
Shame on Riot. I am done. Posting this thread in case anyone else comes here. Do not give Riot your money for skins. You will never see a return and it is the only way they will ever change, when they see a dip in a lost player base.
