Hey everyone,
I recently ran into a super frustrating issue while trying to launch Valorant. The Riot Client would open, but the game itself wouldn't start. I kept getting an error saying:
"We couldn't install a required dependency. Please try again, restart your computer, or contact our Player Support team."
I tried all the usual fixes—restarting my PC, reinstalling Vanguard, and even completely uninstalling both Riot Client and Valorant—but nothing worked.
Solution That Worked for Me:
After reaching out to Riot Support (shoutout to FantastikBeast ), they suggested a registry tweak that finally fixed the issue. Here’s what you need to do:
Open the Registry Editor
Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.
Navigate to this location:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options
(Simply Copy Paste the above line in the Registry Address bar)
Look for a registry entry called DevOverrideEnable
If it exists, double-click it and set the value to 0
Restart your PC
After making this change, I was able to launch Valorant without any issues!
