No offense but this is typical mentality of casual player.
Look at CS - initial community stuck together for more than 10 years with game having no cosmetics (correct me if I am wrong), most game titles can't get past launch date without them now and it is all because players who play for skins not for FPS / BR experience.
Goal of such games like CS, Quake, Unreal tournament, Halo was to become strategically and mechanically better, compete. These day 90%+ based on the feeling plays to get heirloom, unique gloves or knifes and what not is out there.
I still get the part where people play to get into skins to make money - traders - unethical yet still logical. But for players who just horde cosmetics while playing competitive modes of these games... omg that makes no sense to me.
