Most of it is to prevent leavers to ruin the game I don't see them changing anything about it. What they could do is add a timeout vote like on CS:GO.

hello, Can we seriously talk about how Riot handles the AFK system and bans? I understand that people who troll or smurf get banned, because they kind of deserve it. But what about the normal people who have to deal with it? So I think their AFK system is a bit crazy and not a good idea. riot should manage their afk system because there are players who live far away from the server like in Africa, in other countries and in the village sometimes the wifis disconnects by itself and also the power plant that cuts off the power of our area and the computer problem that restarts by itself and the valuable items game that crashes and all the problems that riot doesn't care about and it's really shameful while the players bought skin and the money goes away, it's anarchic and everything and it gives bannings etc.... ... so this is not normal and riot should really manage their system afk for example power outage and they don't deserve to be banned or penalized this kind of problem but now I can't because riot doesn't seem to understand that people can leave the game without wanting to.

LanJeGej Same, I fucking hate this. I left a CASUAL MATCH so I could help my mom with the dishes. When I come back, I've been banned for 1hr and 30 mins on casual plus one week on competitive. Like wtf Valorant. I hope they realize we are not all eSports players and fix this soon.

LinkZ It's the same on my case. I've been banned for not multiple hours, but for a whole week just cos I left an UNRANKED match too help me my mum. I don't have full assurance that I will stay looking at the screen for 45 mins/1 hour straight, what Valorant doesn't understand is that we are not all eSports players with high end PC's and all the time in the world. I hope they fix this soon.

i got suspended for 7 days because of a 4 minute afk in a unrated match. 7 days. its a little insane to ban someone over afking, no? Y'know i have a life outside of playing, and i cant say no to my parents so i had to come and help them. People are like oh but afking ruins the game experience, and to some extent it does. But not by that much. Ive won alot of matches had fun playing alot of matches with 1-2 people afk. The suspension is not deserved. especially when its in an unrated match. Fix plz

valorant afk / health system is trash there was a power outage and I just afk for 5 rounds then i got banned for 1 week in compe really ? and who likes to afk in game ? riot system is getting bad

I didn't get a ban, but a warning. REASON - a couple of people had super high ping and I couldn't play at all! my character was all over the place. teleporting xD so ofc I quit.

Yea so I've been off this game for like 9 months. i came back the 3rd ranked game i got into two team mates left so i left after that. 7 DAY BAN! keep in mind I've spent hundreds of $$$ on this game. Val devs if you ever rea this just know i will never spend another dime on your game. Its criminal to hand out week long ban at the flick of the wrist.

Also I got AFK ban for being AFK in a match... wanna know the catch? I havent played any match last 3 weeks and if it means before that time I was in every game and didnt leave or anything else... like wtf riot ( it is for 1 hour only)
But worse thing is I get banned every time I log in!! Everytime I just start the game and just like check agents, shop anything and then on another day I log back in I get again AFK banned... FOR NO FUCKING REASON
