First of all, I consider myself a massive noob since I don't play shooters and since it's a riot game there can be a lot of non shooter players coming to this game so let me first give you an idea of my experience before I go over the whys of a deathmatch
Noob point of view
- I get in a game and ofc I suck and this match maker doubtfully will put me against people that also don't play shooters, there will always be at the very least one guy on the enemy that knows what they are doing and proceeds to rekt every1 anyways I hop in to a match of 2 mins I think each round then get killed the moment they peek me so out of 2 mins I got to play 20-30 secs of it having to spectate others playing for the rest of the round, hence and repeat all rounds, fun right! It's hell, I came here to play not watch others playing and it becomes a matter of "What's the point of playing if I just die over and over again then need to wait a ton of time before I can give it another shot?"
Why Deathmatch can help a ton
- So the problem with the whole trying to get better is that your down time is way to big the lower your skills so you end up mainly watching a "live stream" rather then playing the game, even if you try to play safe and hang in the back it's still down time, you not practicing aiming, you not controlling spraying your just there and that is why deathmatch would help A TON if I die I just respawn and keep going, no down time and I'm always playing the game instead of spending 6 hours playing the game where only about 2-3 was actually gaming and not waiting for round to start / watching people play the round. This gamemode isn't just for noobs, even pros or any player can use it to warm up, if they don't have much time and just wanna chill a bit popping heads 24/7 or to enjoy some more "action driven" experience because again the normal game mode there is a lot of waiting and camping
Deathmatch
- Most of you if not all of you will know how this gamemode should be:
1ª Get in, pick loadout, start gaming
2ª You die, instantly respawn with a bit of a death protection (can't die) just so you don't die, respawn, insta die (I don't mind if there isn't any protection though, some people might not enjoy it however)
3ª After a player / team reaches X points the game ends
Small preference: If possible I would like a deathmatch that DOESN'T end, people literally just go there to kill people so no loading time of changing maps, victory screen and this way people can enter and leave and others can join mid game if there is space, in CS 1.6 deathmatch was where I spend all my time having the most fun (haven't played shooters for like 10 years so that is why I'm a massive noob now)
Pls don't comment with
- "Get good" Again, I want to, a bit hard when I can't play the game if I'm dead.
- "Play safer" Sure, I will live longer but I'm still not shooting or anything and they are still better then me, they can push me and I still end up losing most of the times so it's just delaying the inevitable
- "Aim trainer games" Yeah this one will be a valid one still do keep in mind some players don't really enjoy this sort of stuff, it is effective just can't say I wanna spend my time on it and it also doesn't help you practice to control Valorant spray pattern, where to hide, how to peek, how to push, how to move, etc but it does a good job to aim (assuming my shot will go where I have my crosshair at)
- "You're just a noob" Yes, yes I am and made it very clear
- "We don't need noobs in our games" I do get what you mean with this, it's annoying when you lose games because of a person so to anyone that doesn't trust their skills I do advice to keep away from ranked, casual however shouldn't be met with such "I have to win this at all cost" mentality so if you want to say that phrase for these gamemodes then eh, do hope I don't find you in my game either
